Esteban Valencia
Esteban Valencia is an economist from the University of Chicago and currently pursuing a Master's in Public Administration and International Development (MPA-ID) at the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS).
Previously, Esteban worked in the Resilience Office of the Municipal Government of Cali Colombia where he led the design of a city-wide plan to recover, expand and maintain all the public-school buildings in Cali using the World Bank Safer School methodology. He also developed an urban resilience strategy for Cali under the 100 Resiliente Cities program by the Rockefeller Foundation.
Additionally, he led a team of experts in the design of policies for the Colombian presidential candidate, Sergio Fajardo, and congressional representative, Catalina Ortiz.
Before that, Esteban worked in Accenture Federal Services as a management consultant for the US Federal Government’s Department of State, Labor, Treasury, and Clinton’s and Trump’s transition team.
At Harvard, he serves as the Vice-President of Social Affairs for the Harvard Colombian Student Society.
