Gabriel Cifuentes

Gabriel Cifuentes is a Colombian Lawyer. Before joining the Kennedy School he served as Secretary of Transparency of Colombia. He was also Director of the Justice and Defense Unit at the Ministry of Planning; Senior advisor to the Attorney General; Director of institutional management at the Victims Unit; clerk at the Colombian Constitutional Court and legal assistant in the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court. He has been adjunct professor of International Criminal Law and Transitional Justice (2014-2018) at Los Andes University. Gabriel holds a Phd in Criminal Law of the University of Rome; a Master in Public Administration of Harvard University; a Masters in International Law of New York University; a Masters in legal theory of Los Andes University; and an LLB of Los Andes University. He has also completed courses in National Defense at the Military University of Colombia. Gabriel specializes in Anti-corruption policies and transitional justice.
