Miguel Bernal
Before coming to Harvard Business School, Miguel worked for three years as advisor to the CEO of Ecopetrol, Colombia’s largest company, where he analyzed impactful matters and coordinated strategic projects amid internal and external transformations. Prior to joining Ecopetrol he was the Director of Data Mining at Quantil, a Colombian leading applied mathematics consulting and research firm, where he contributed to the area’s growth by implementing cutting edge analytics to solve business and governmental challenges.
Miguel holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Economics with minors in Mathematics and Management, from Universidad de Los Andes. He was awarded the Mario Galan Gomez scholarship, given to Colombia’s 70 best high school graduates and received the Alberto Magno Distinction, for being one of the top ten students applying to Universidad de los Andes.
He is passionate about sports and anxious to learn something new every day in order to pose relevant problems and contribute to its solutions in an innovative and efficient way.
